Forage Chopper Machine
The forage chopper machine is designed for preparing various agricultural products and plant residues for animal feed or compost. This machine is capable of chopping forage corn with cobs, sugarcane, beet leaves, mallow, wheat stubble, canola, and other dry and wet forages.
The operating mechanism of the machine is such that the cutting system consists of 4 blades, and by rotating at high speed, it chops the incoming forage in a guillotine-like manner. The same blades, along their rotation path, propel the chopped forage out of the other side of the machine at very high speed. This means that cutting and throwing are performed simultaneously by the same set of blades.
One of the most important advantages of this machine compared to similar models is the presence of a flywheel in it. In conventional machines, the sudden entry of a large volume of forage or the presence of thick stems causes the blades to lock up and the motor to stop. However, in this machine, the flywheel with its high inertia keeps the blades rotating and prevents the system from completely locking up. This feature increases efficiency, reduces motor wear, reduces sudden stops, and increases operational safety.
Another capability of this machine is its adjustable discharge. The discharge angle of the machine can be adjusted upward and downward within a range of 20 to 120 degrees. The chopped forage is thrown out to a distance of about 10 meters.
The size of the forage chopped by this machine is between 1 and 1.5 centimeters, and the machine is capable of working with forage having a moisture content of 0 to 80 percent. The production capacity of the machine is about 4 tons per hour, and its power consumption is 2.2 kilowatts.
This machine is an ideal choice especially for small and semi-industrial livestock farms looking for a cost-effective, low-consumption, and trouble-free machine. Chopping forage is very suitable for all types of ruminant animals, including cattle, sheep, and water buffalo, and increases feed digestibility, reduces waste, and improves the health of the animal's digestive system. Low power consumption (2.2 kW) and the lack of need for tractor power or industrial three-phase electricity make this machine very practical for use in small farms and rural livestock farms.
